2020 NFL Mock Draft

Picks 17-32

17   CB   Kristian Fulton, LSU   Dallas Cowboys

The Cowboys have a strong roster with their only needs at corner and linebacker to replace Sean Lee.  They can pluck a starting linebacker in the second so they go with Kristian Fulton who played like a star in the games that mattered.
18   DE   K'Lavon Chaisson, LSU   Miami Dolphins

Chaisson is the only player in the draft not named Chase Young who has 15 sack potential.

CB   Trevon Diggs, Alabama   Las Vegas Raiders

The Raiders biggest need is at corner.  Diggs come from a well respected program and his brother is an NFL star.

20   LB   Zach Baun, Wisconsin   Jacksonville Jaguars
Baun is both a pass rusher and high volume tackler.
21   WR
  Tee Higgins, Tennessee   Philadelphia Eagles

The Eagles receivers have had the injury jinx the last few years.  They need explosion and Higgins is a beast on the edges.

22   WR   Henry Ruggs, Alabama   Minnesota Vikings thumb_up_04.png

Ruggs replaces Stefon Diggs.

23   LB   Patrick Queen, LSU   New England Patriots

The Patriots are tanking this year.  They don't have a starting caliber quarterback and their front seven on defense is probably the NFL's worst.

24   QB
  Jordan Love, Utah State
  New Orleans Saints

Taysom Hill thinks he's a starter.  He will be gone in 2021, and Teddy Bridgewater is already gone. Love can sit a season or two and take over when Brees decides to hang 'em up.

25   S   Grant Delpit, LSU   Minnesota Vikings

The Vikings still seem on the verge of a Super Bowl, but they have to solidify the back end of their defense.

26   OT   Josh Jones, Houston   Miami Dolphins
The Dolphins need to find two starters on the offensive line.  Jones is one but they won't find a second because they trade up for Tua.
27   LB   Kenneth Murray, Oklahoma   Seattle Seahawks

Murray should be the next in the long line of great Seattle linebackers.

28   WR   Justin Jefferson, LSU   Baltimore Ravens

How good could Lamar Jackson be with a stud wide reciever?

OT   Matt Peart, Connecticut   Tennessee Titans

Peart has all the earmarks of a great right tackle, whch is what the Titans lost this off-season in Jack Conklin.

WR   Laviska Shenault, Colorado   Green Bay Packers thumb_up_04.png
The Packers are desparate for a number two behind Davante Adams.
31   S   Xavier McKinney, Alabama   San Francisco 49ers thumb_up_04.png
The 49ers have a loaded roster and can draft best player available if they choose.  McKinney would be a nice find late in the first.
32   DE   Yetur Gross-Matos, Penn State   Kansas City Chiefs thumb_up_04.png

The Chiefs offense seems set for the next few years, but they will need a better defense to repeat in 2020.
