2020 NFL Mock Draft

Picks 17-32

17   S   Xavier McKinney, Alabama   Dallas Cowboys

Mckinney will replace Byron Jones.
18   OT   Tristan Wirfs, Iowa
  Miami Dolphins

His measurables are great, his tape is good.

19
  WR
  Tee Higgins, Clemson
  Las Vegas Raiders

Derek Carr had a nice season in 2019 considering his receiving corps, which was probably the NFL's worst.  Whether he and Gruden can co-exist is debatable but what's not debatable is that they pluck a receiver in the early rounds.

20   LB   Zach Baun, Wisconsin   Jacksonville Jaguars
thumb_up_04.png
Baun is both a pass rusher and high volume tackler.
21   WR
  Henry Ruggs, Alabama
  Philadelphia Eagles

The Eagles receivers have had the injury jinx the last few years.  They need explosion and Ruggs is electric after the catch.

22   WR   Laviska Shenault, Colorado   Minnesota Vikings thumb_up_04.png

Shenault replaces Stefon Diggs.  Chenault isn't a speedster but he has the skill set of Adam Thielen.

23   DE
  Julian Okwara, Notre Dame
  New England Patriots

This pick will likely be lost in the latest Patriots cheating scandal.

24   QB
  Jordan Love, Utah State
  New Orleans Saints
thumb_up_04.png

Taysom Hill thinks he's a starter.  He will be gone in 2021, and Teddy Bridgewater is already gone. Love can sit a season or two and take over when Brees decides to hang 'em up.

25   CB
  Kristian Fulton, LSU
  Minnesota Vikings
thumb_up_04.png

The Vikings still seem on the verge of a Super Bowl, but they have to solidify the back end of their defense.

26   G/C   Tyler Biadasz, Wisconsin   Miami Dolphins
thumb_up_04.png
Two time All-American and Wisconsin linemen have a nice pedigree.
27   LB   K'lavon Chaisson, LSU   Seattle Seahawks
thumb_up_04.png

He reminds us of Barkevious Mingo, but he's consistently showing up as a first rounder in mock drafts.

28   OT   Isaiah Wilson, Georgia   Baltimore Ravens
thumb_up_04.png

Wilson is a mauler in the Ravens mold.

29
OT   Matt Peart, Connecticut   Tennessee Titans
thumb_up_04.png

Peart has all the earmarks of a great right tackle, whch is what the Titans lost this off-season in Jack Conklin.

30
DE   Yetur Gross-Matos, Penn State   Green Bay Packers thumb_up_04.png
The Packers have needs all along the front seven.  Gross-Matos is the high floor type that often get taken at the end of the first round.
31   LB
  Kenneth Murray, Oklahoma
  San Francisco 49ers thumb_up_04.png
The 49ers have a loaded roster and can draft best player availble if they choose.  K-9 is a sideline to sideline player who would thrive behind the 49ers studly front four.
32   CB
  A.J. Terrell, LSU
  Kansas City Chiefs thumb_up_04.png

The Chiefs offense seems set for the next few years, but they will need a better defense to repeat in 2020.
