Houston Texans 2018 Draft Grade: B
The Texans didn't have a first or second round pick, but made the most of the draft. They took first round talent S Justin Reid in the third round. C Martinas Rankin has the ability to develop into a starter and we like WR Keke Coutee as a poor man's Tyreek Hill. 6th round DE Duke Ejiofor was underrated and should have been drafted much earlier.
Houston Texans 2017 Draft Grade: B
The Texans traded their 2016 and 2017 first round picks to move up and get QB Deshaun Watson. It's not a great fit as Bill O 'Brien is more of a pocket passer guy, but Watson is a proven winner. If O'Brien is flexible enough to develop a different type of player, Watson can lead the Texans to the playoffs. Second round LB Zach Cunnigham should start as a rookie and have a field day behind the Texans stout defensive line. Fourth round DT Carlos Watkins was a steal. He's the next Grady Jarrett. D'Onta Foreman adds much needed depth at running back and late round center Kyle Fuller will provide depth on the interior of the offensive line.
